The Akkadian Language

Neste endereço encontra-se um curso de acádico que o autor diz ser conciso, popular e endereçado ao leitor não especializado. São páginas em inglês sobre a história da Mesopotâmia, a escrita cuneiforme, a língua e a gramática acádicas, com trechos do poema da criação Enuma Elish e do Código de Hammurabi transcritos, transliterados e explicados. A afirmação de J. Heise, da Universidade de Utrecht, na Holanda,  autor e mantenedor destas páginas, deve ser matizada. O curso é realmente de uma clareza e didática muito boas e as páginas sobre a história da Mesopotâmia devem ser lidas por todo estudante de História de Israel, independente de seu interesse pelo acádico. Mas a língua acádica em si não pode ser abordada de maneira leviana por ser bastante complexa.

The Comprehensive Aramaic Lexicon

Um dicionário de aramaico que está sendo preparado por uma equipe de especialistas a partir do Hebrew Union College, Cincinnati, USA. O projeto do Comprehensive Aramaic Lexicon pretende cobrir todos os dialetos e épocas do aramaico antigo.

A new dictionary of the Aramaic language is currently in preparation by an international team of scholars, with headquarters at the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati. Current editors are Prof. Stephen A. Kaufman of HUC and Prof. Joseph A. Fitzmyer of Catholic University of America (emeritus), with Prof. Michael Sokoloff of Bar Ilan University as associate editor. This major scholarly reference work will cover all dialects and periods of ancient Aramaic. The Comprehensive Aramaic Lexicon is to he published in book form, as a multi-volume set. In addition, the work of the project will lead to the compilation of textual, lexical, and bibliographic data bases which can be distributed and consulted through computers and related technology.

Walter Ewing Crum - A Coptic Dictionary

CRUM, W. E. A Coptic Dictionary.Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1939 reprinted by Sandpiper Books Ltd, London & Powells Books, Chicago, 2000. Este dicionário de copta, muito conceituado, está disponível online. Como foi terminado em 1939, portanto antes das descobertas de Nag Hammadi em 1945, recomenda-se um complemento  como o SMITH, R. H. A Concise Coptic-English Lexicon. 2. ed. Atlanta: Society of Biblical Literature, 1999, que pode ser encontrado na Amazon.com.

W.E. Crum's Coptic Dictionary is the authoritative Coptic lexicon for studying the Coptic Bible and early Coptic Christian writings. Crum's work, finished in 1939, is a very comprehensive study of early Coptic writings and the Coptic Bible, but was published before the discovery of the Nag Hammadi in 1945. To account for these  discoveries, Richard H. Smith's work A Concise Coptic-English Lexicon, is an excellent companion to Crum. Additions from the Nag Hammadi, which included many well-known Gnostic writings, most notably the Gospel of Thomas, are noted in Smith's lexicon, which was published in 1983. Taken together, Crum and Smith provide excellent coverage of all important Coptic literature.
