My name is Airton José da Silva and I am Professor of Old Testament/Hebrew Bible at the Faculty of Theology Dom Miele of CEARP - Center of Studies of the Archdiocese of Ribeirão Preto, SP, Brazil.

I studied Theology and Biblical Theology in the Pontifical Gregorian University and in the Pontifical Biblical Institute, Rome.

I have publications about Prophetic Studies, History of Israel, and Social-Scientific Criticism. My teaching and research activities embraces the recent questions about the History of Israel, the freshly prophetic debate, the new paradigms in the pentateuchal studies and the social-scientific criticism.

I am member of SOTER, The Brazilian Society of Theology and Sciences of Religion. It’s aims are to stimulate and encourage the teaching and research in the field of Theology and the Science of Religion.

I like to study Jeremiah, Guimarães Rosa and Einstein, besides, it is clear, of being unconditional fan of Ayrton Senna.
